Fog signal for the vessel being towed, if manned, one prolonged blast followed by three short blasts sounded immediately after the signal from the towing vessel. Day signal – nil.PDV probably over 50m length underway. Lights … Two white masthead lights on the centre line, arc of visibility 225 deg from ahead to 22,5 deg abaft the beam on each side. The foremost of these white lights is at least 6m above the main deck and not more than 12m above the main deck but at least as height as the extreme breadth of the vessel. The after mast head light must be at least 4.5m above the fwd light but situated so that they can be distinguished from each other by an observer at least 1000m ahead of the vessel observing from the sea surface. Range of the masthead lights to be at least 6nm in standard visibility. A green side light on the stb side with an unbroken arc of visibility of 112.5 deg from dead ahead to 22.5 deg on the stb side. Range of visibility at least 3nm in standard visibility. Fog signal one prolonged blast (of 4-6 sec) on the ships whistle in periods not exceeding 2min when making way. Two prolonged blasts on the ships whistle in periods not exceeding 2min when underway but not making way.
